Traci Lords: – I’m successful in spite of my past, not because of it!

Traci Lords moved into mainstream films, and has appeared in several movies. At age 18, Lords began studying method acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, and soon afterward, starred in Not of This Earth, a remake of Roger Corman’s 1957 film. Then in 1990, she appeared in John Waters’ Cry-Baby, playing the role of Wanda Woodward. Other movies on her resume include Blade, Tommyknockers, Black Mask 2: City of Masks and Chump Change. The last won her a Best Actress Award at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival. She has also made cameo appearances in Serial Mom, Nowhere, Virtuosity, and Panic Button in 2007 (made for TV). Traci Lords appeared in Zack and Miri Make a Porno (2008) and I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell. Lords’ character in the former is loosely based on herself, but she refused to appear nude. She also starred in the 2009 low-budget science fiction film Princess of Mars.

Bobbie Phillips is a trained martial artist and performed most of her fighting and stunts in these films. On the television series, The Crow: Stairway to Heaven (1998), Phillips played the dual role of Talon aka Hannah Foster. With this role, Phillips became the first female to play a crow on screen. In between The Crow: Stairway to Heaven filming, Bobbie also showed off her martial arts abilities in a series of tele-films for Paramount Pictures. The first was Chameleon. It was a followed by two sequels Chameleon II: Death Match, Chameleon 3: Dark Angel.

Phillips appeared on numerous popular television shows such as The Hitchhiker, Stargate SG-1, The X-Files, Married… with Children, Two Guys and a Girl and Baywatch. She was a regular on the first season of the 22nd People’s Choice Awards winner for “Favorite New TV Dramatic Series” Murder One. Phillips received praise from Variety for her role as Julie Costello.

Joanna Pacuła joined Warsaw Dramatic Theatre where she acted until 1981. She started her career playing in productions of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Othello and As You Like It. She also found work in a handful of films, including Krzysztof Zanussi’s Barwy ochronne/Camouflage (1977) and Sergiu Nicolaescu’s Ultima noapte de dragoste (1979) in Romania.

In 1981, Pacuła was caught in Paris when communist authorities in Poland declared martial law. In 1982 she eventually emigrated to the U.S. where she has specialized in playing European temptresses since her feature debut opposite William Hurt in Gorky Park (1983), for which she was recommended by Roman Polanski. She played in numerous American TV series and movies, including the Holocaust drama Escape From Sobibor (CBS, 1987), The Kiss (1988), E.A.R.T.H. Force (CBS, 1990), and the TV series, The Colony (ABC, 1996). She also starred in Lewis Gilbert’s Not Quite Jerusalem in 1984.
She was featured in Marked for Death (1990) as an expert on Jamaican voodoo and gangs; in the Italian erotic thriller Husband and Lovers (1992) as a free spirited adultress Tombstone (1993) as Doc Holliday’s lover, Kate  in The Haunted Sea (1997); and in the film Virus (1999), playing a Russian scientist…(Wikipedia)
